Project/Department Description

This role is within the Projects, Drilling & Procurement (PDP) business area, specifically in PDP Procurement and Supplier Relations (PSR). PSR is responsible for Supply Chain Management (SCM), ensuring the safe and efficient supply of products and services for our global operations and development projects. The PSR organization comprises five business units focusing on strategic, tactical, and operational activities within the SCM process:

  • Drilling, Well & Interventions
  • Subsea, Engineering & Construction
  • Operations
  • Corporate Support
  • Compliance, Improvements & Analysis

We are currently seeking candidates for Project Procurement in the Subsea, Engineering & Construction (SEC) business area. All PSR employees are part of the Supply Chain Competence Center (CC), which fosters professional networking, flexibility, and development in line with the organization’s objectives.

Description

Candidates will be assigned tasks across all PSR SEC categories, with a primary focus on the Subsea, Marine, and Installations category and the Electrification and Low Carbon Solutions portfolios. Potential assignments include:

  • Subsea Lines Modification portfolio (marine & fabrication contracts)
  • Subsea Operations/Inspections, Maintenance & Repair (IMR) contracts
  • Emerging subsea clusters/portfolios (e.g., compressions, HPHT)
  • Electrification portfolio (e.g., topside, HV equipment, onshore)
  • Northern Lights project

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting demand and market analysis in global and local markets.
  • Leading and participating in cross-functional teams to establish specific procurement strategies both locally and globally.
  • Preparing and issuing inquiries, managing bid evaluations, negotiations, and preparing award recommendations.
  • Managing contracts from award to close-out, focusing on minimizing value leakage, reducing risk, and promoting safety.
  • Enhancing the supply chain by ensuring compliance with SCM processes, especially regarding Integrity Due Diligence, Human Rights assessments, Safety, and Commercial Risk.
  • Proactively managing stakeholders internally and with suppliers.
  • Building strategic relations through extensive external dialogue with suppliers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience with project procurement in the energy sector.
  • A strategic and commercial mindset with strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in establishing and managing major contracts.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally.
  • Flexibility in taking on new tasks and challenges.
  • A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
