NORSOK-experience is mandatory
Tasks include:
- Conducting cable selection.
- Allocating signal grouping.
- Developing connection diagrams for earthing, telecom, and instrument purposes.
- Creating cable Material Take-Off (MTO).
- Developing cable schedules.
- Performing Intrinsically Safe (IS) calculations.
- Routing cables in the project database using Cabsys (EIS).
- Carrying out cable termination and generating loops in SPI.
- Utilizing NavisWorks (3D model viewer) or E3D for cable routing design.
- Collaborating with other disciplines, construction teams, suppliers, and clients.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or Technical College education combined with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
- Completion of an Ex course.
Work Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in projects located in Norway, with a focus on onshore locations.
- Experience and in-depth knowledge of EIT (Electrical, Instrumentation, and Telecom) cable design, adhering to relevant standards such as Equinor TRs, NORSOK, and IEC.
- Familiarity with Brownfield projects, IS-calculations, and working in STID (Standard for Instrumentation Diagrams) for cable engineering.
Qualifications:
- Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
- Natural inclination towards teamwork while being capable of working independently.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and quality requirements.
- Proactive and eager to learn, seeking advice and sharing experiences with others.
- Innovative mindset, actively seeking to improve methodologies and solutions through the use of digital tools.
