Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible engineer for material handling equipment packages, such as pedestal cranes.
• Conduct mechanical equipment studies, including design, selection, and assessments.
• Perform tasks in accordance with applicable procedures and work instructions.
• Prepare and issue technical requisitions and datasheets.
• Evaluate supplier quotations from a technical perspective.
• Act as the technical liaison with suppliers, customers, and other technical disciplines.
• Conduct inspections and witness testing of equipment packages.
• Monitor package progress throughout installation, mechanical completion, and commissioning stages. • Assess and respond to technical queries and non-conformance requests.
• Identify and report any additional work resulting from changes in the scope of work.
• Review and approve supplier documentation.
• Provide technical input for engineering registers.
•Gather and prepare input for reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) analyses and design improvements.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards pertaining to the supplier’s scope of work.
• Ensure timely delivery of equipment and final documentation.

Education:

BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.

Work Experience:

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience.
• Experienced in multidisciplinary engineering and tenders/FEED work.
• Familiarity with NORSOK and Norwegian acts and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in both written and spoken Norwegian and English.
• Strong communication skills.
•Demonstrates a high level of commitment to meeting deadlines and quality requirements.
• Capable of working independently as well as in a team.
