Job Responsibilities:

This role involves overseeing the interface between control systems and electrical switchboards. You will be tasked with developing the foundational control system programming for interfacing with Low Voltage (LV) electrical switchboards, Essential Generators, and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Your responsibilities will revolve around tailoring solutions to align with the specific requirements of our clients and projects. This will include maintaining communication with vendors, actively participating in test activities like Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (UFAT), as well as engaging in automation-related reviews and workshops. Your involvement will extend to automation system FATs and providing support during Construction, Commissioning, and Site-testing phases as necessary. Additionally, you will be responsible for generating and finalizing engineering documents and data registers.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Completion of Ex course
  • Completion of FSE course

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years’ experience in automation engineering for green field projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf
  • At least 6 years’ experience in SAS system design, including Sequential Control Diagram (SCD) development for Process Data Control Systems (PDCS)
  • Proficiency with Power Management Systems (PMS) in SAS
  • Familiarity with communication protocols such as Profinet and IEC61850
  • Thorough understanding of automation design in accordance with relevant standards like NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, and IEC
  • In-depth familiarity with Equinor’s technical requirements (TRs)
