Tasks in External Projects:
Assume the role of a project engineer in PD03.
Develop the design basis and technical requirements (TORG document).
Prepare technical sections in project documents.
Collaborate with study providers to define the scope of work for modifications.
Ensure necessary technical clarifications and interface management with existing facilities/systems.
Provide input to and quality assurance of project plans.
Manage risk and health, safety, and environment (HSE) aspects in the design phase.
Quality control technical deliverables in accordance with the management system.
Establish or quality control technical documentation for cost estimation.
Engage other required disciplines not permanently part of the team.Fulfill the role of an executor in PD03.
Conduct early-phase/screening studies.
Execute modification studies and engineering in line with agreed-upon project descriptions.
Develop the design basis and define technical requirements.
Perform engineering tasks and deliver according to project plans and technical requirements.
Provide input to and quality assurance of project plans.
Manage risk and HSE aspects in the design phase.
In addition to the roles described above, a Technical Safety Engineer has the following responsibilities:
Conduct updates to the plant’s total risk analysis (TRA) and safety documentation () as directed by the DI leader, in collaboration with an external supplier. Lead the “zone committee,” responsible for continuous assessment and updates of Zone Classification Maps, as specified in TR1848/section 2.2. Act as the TTS coordinator, with responsibilities outlined in the TTS workflow. Author the local TR2237, “Safety Strategy and Performance Standards for safety systems and barriers at Mongstad.”
Safety documentation refers to RiskView and explosion protection documents.
