Job Responsibilities:
- Conducting feasibility studies and estimations.
- Creating new documentation and diagrams, including telecom block diagrams, loop diagrams, and plot plans.
- Revising existing documentation and diagrams.
- Generating work packages for installation.
- Ensuring discipline compliance and approving produced documents and drawings within the project.
- Coordinating the procurement of all necessary telecom materials (bulk/equipment) for offshore installation.
- Understanding general interfaces with instrumentation, electrical, and automation systems.
- Proficiency in interpreting drawings from various disciplines.
- Engaging in discussions with client and vendor representatives to determine optimal technical solutions.
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications.
Work Experience:
- 4 to 7 years of experience in offshore-related projects and studies.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with relevant standards such as NPD, ATEX, IEC61892, and Norsok.
- Understanding of modifications required for offshore installations during operation.
- Knowledge of telecommunication systems including cables, fibers, LAN, WAN, TMS, etc.
- Understanding of PA systems, emergency battery systems, and CCTV systems.
- Knowledge of ICT security and network topology.
- Familiarity with instruments and electrical equipment used in the oil industry.
- Proficiency in Equinor systems for engineering work such as STIDtag, STIDdoc, and STIDloop.
- Familiarity with systems such as proark and PIMS.
- Understanding of Equinor TRs related to Telecom.
Required Certificates:
- Valid Norwegian offshore and health certificates.
- Basic EX course (classroom-based, 22.5 hours).
- FSE Course.
