Job Duties

A representative of the developer is responsible for supervising construction activities on behalf of the company, ensuring compliance with suppliers, HVAC, and electrical work in Årskog (Fitjar) and Børdalen (Samnanger) as part of the project.

This work is carried out by subcontractors and our main contractor.

The role involves overseeing all key aspects of HVAC and electrical work, reporting directly to company management on matters affecting health, safety, quality, schedule, finances, and providing recommendations for issue resolution.

Daily supervision of activities at the Årskog and Børdalen construction sites.

Leading inspection engineers at Årskog and Børdalen.

Ensuring that the project achieves the desired outcome and is delivered within agreed-upon parameters.

Delegating tasks to team members, motivating and guiding them to perform at their best.

Identifying solutions and making decisions within project constraints and objectives.

Participating in safety inspections with a focus on health, safety, and environment (HSE).

Daily project reporting.

Monitoring progress and reporting on any issues with progress.

Ensuring that deliveries meet specified requirements.

Ensuring that weekly reports, monthly reports, meeting minutes, and reports are produced.

Responsible for technical meetings.

Participating in and overseeing construction meetings/weekly meetings, monthly meetings, contract meetings, and other relevant meetings.

Change control.

Monitoring quality and deviation systems.

Ensuring that contractors have access to necessary drawings and descriptions.

Approving time sheets for suppliers/subcontractors and monitoring time and quantity consumption.

Experience with collaborative contracts (HVAC and electrical disciplines).

Proficient experience with Project Information Management Systems (PIMS).

Experience with Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and electrical work at transformer stations.

Desired Qualifications

Engineering/technical education in the field of electrical engineering.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar field/project.

Self-starter with a strong focus on delivery, excellent problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently, manage processes, and be proactive.

Positive, service-oriented, and quality-conscious.

Strong and effective communication skills. Open to receiving/giving constructive feedback.

Flexible and adaptable in handling changing priorities and new tasks.

Open-minded team player with the ability to influence, share knowledge, and manage interfaces with a wide range of teams/disciplines/strategic partners.

Ability to drive continuous improvement using Lean methodology.

Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple activities simultaneously.
